Anchor Sports

Around The Shop

Anchor Sports Inc. is a family owned marine service and  equipment center.  We have been in Eagle Idaho since 1997 with Scotty's experience dating back to the early 70's. Our technical staff is here to help you with your boating and outdoor equipment needs. We enjoy providing accurate and friendly service on a daily basis. At Anchor Sports we have always had a strong belief in the education of our customers. The Anchor Sports philosophy is based on the premise that an informed public is a safe public. Anchor Sports, Inc. maintains a membership in the ABYC, American Boat and Yachting Council, the body that sets the safety standards for the boating industry.  We are also members of Boat/US and Amtech.

Scotty is an absolute perfectionist and focus is always on quality not quantity. He will answer your questions and encourage you to use technical manuals before you attempt any repair. Here at Anchor Sports we have worked hard to earn our reputation of honest business and going the extra mile for our customers.  We are not the cheapest repair facility.  We will not make a repair that we cannot stand behind with full confidence.  If we see automotive parts or other items that are not legal per the USCG Safety Standards we will bring this to your attention.  Many of our newer customers tell us they have heard we are the only place to go if you want the repair done right the first time.   We encourage our customers to bring us their boating projects and repairs during the winter months.  If we need to run the boat after it has been winterized we repickle it at no charge.  Cheryl does the final check of the boats for cleanliness before they go home.  Nothing is worse than spending alot of money on a repair and having to do 3 hours of clean up before you can enjoy the vessel. This extra effort and attention to detail has allowed us to gain friendships not only here in the Western United States, but around the world.  We have customers that know if they need help all they need to do is give us a call.  In fact, our phone number is on quite a few cell phones out there as we frequently get calls from purses and pockets. Our main goal is to help boat owners that are not do it yourselfers (DIYers).  We provide the best service possible to those DIYers who are making the attempt to care for their vessel. We also believe that the owners of the boats that we service should be involved in every step of the repair so that there will not be any surprises down the road. Anchor Sports is a small business where we try to involve you in everything so that you are completely comfortable with not only our staff but also more importantly our work.  We try to be a person and not a place and encourage new customers to come and meet us before the repair and see if you like us and even want to do business.  Our customers boats become our boats and we treat the boats like we would want to have ours treated.

The Marine Industry is very specialized and lacks competent technicians all across the country.  We offer an in house training program for those local interested persons that qualify to work in our shop.  The expectations are high.  You will need to use your brain.  Scotty is a perfectionist from his years as a pilot and airframe and powerplant technician.  Competency takes about 3 years to obtain and the skills you learn can serve across many different careers.  We offer to our trained staff educational opportunities through ABYC, Amtech, Volvo, and Nissan/Tohatsu.  If you are interested in this opportunity give us a call.

Allow us to introduce ourselves. From Left to right Mark(Scotty) and Cheryl Scott (owners) Nick and Tyler (apprentice Techs.)
